Real men provide and real women appreciate it!
So for a couple of days now this simple phrase which came up on a billboard in the US has been trending and generating a lot of commotion in protest and all; now one would wonder, is this even a thing? And if it is, is it even our business?.....Oh yes if it affects them?.... like it or nay it's going to affect us too, in this part of the world, we do like to copy....don't we?
Now in our context here... speaking from my perspective which is partly influenced by my geographical location.....Men providing has been an age-long tradition, even the bible endorsed it and women appreciating is not even up for discussion....
Yes, times have changed.... I know....the society is evolving...am aware....but how much are we as a society willing to let go just to make this evolution possible??
Now don't get me wrong this has absolutely nothing to do with gender equality and feminism... I am a feminist to the core...so if you are viewing this from the perspective of being equal with your man or men in general....? Well, you might be mistaking....In fact, if as a woman you are truly feminine...this wouldn't necessarily be an issue.
Yes now women are becoming providers, captains, supporters and all, but the truth remains that even if she is bringing 100% and he brings 50% and there's no mutual appreciation or you begin to undermine his contributions, that on its own puts the whole system in jeopardy.....
Appreciation is a two-way thing....It has to be mutual...non-negotiable....but dear men do provide....lovely ladies do appreciate... even provide too....double advantage to you because a real man would appreciate a real woman....
It takes one to know one after all....
